This needs to be someone that can develop Junior Rugby Union on the Sunshine Coast. The ridiculous changes made to dispensations by the ARU this year have left multiple teams without enough players. They have made these changes without doing anything to build the numbers in Junior Rugby over the past few years. We have very low numbers right throughout our Union Clubs in comparison to the numbers in Junior Rugby League. I believe one League club has 5 x U15 teams. The ARU needs to invest in after school programs that are held on the school grounds. AFL, League and Soccer have done this and all have good numbers for Junior participants. It's convenient for parents if it's at the school, and you will get more kids participating. The coaches then need to interact with the parents and get the kids signed up to the local club in their area.
Gee this sounds interesting, I remember playing in the first Union team in1975
