Doug's Blog - August 2010

So you think that the season is nearly over? Well not quite!

Over the next few weeks Rugby on the Coast is going to reach "boiling point" as there is so much on.

Firstly, we will have the semi finals and finals of all grades of competition from U13's to Seniors.  The semis at Uni and all the finals at Noosa on the 28th.

Secondly, we will again conduct the "John Connolly Trophy + Plate" for our junior club U12 teams at Uni on the 22nd.

Thirdly, we have the selection of our Stingrays Rep teams (U13's to U17's) for the State titles in September as well as our U12 Regional Primary School team to take part in the Q12 Interregional "Muster" at Caloundra on the 12th September.

Fourthly, the Secondary Term 3 competition for our U14 boys and U14, U16 and U18 girls is well underway with some excellent standard of play being exhibited.

Fifthly, we have a record number of teams in the Primary School U10's.  There are 32 teams from schools from Noosa to Caloundra competing each week at venues which include Noosa RUFC, Bli Bli SS, Woombye SS, Siena PS, Meridan SC and Caloundra RUFC.

And finally we have our Premier Stingrays into the final four for the first time.

What a month we are having!

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at this smorgasbord of Rugby on the Sunny Coast.
